an extra key
This weekend I handed over the keys to my old apartment. 4 keys. But there was 1 key left on my keychain. I have no idea what it is for.

there is a new type of urban (anti-) theft that is big now. It’s called “Supplementing” and its when instead of stealing, a thief gives you a replica of some object that is TOTALLY useless and confusing, and subsists side-by-side with the original object. which, when confronted or noticed (such as you noticed the supplemental key upon turning them over to your landlord), works to constitute a sort of LOSS that is TOTALLY bogus yet vaguely ontologically disturbing.
